From Bai Mu Quan’s workshop comes another classic tea cup shape. Despite the classic shape, the production of this beautiful mug is far from a mass production item. These cups are shaped by hand one by one and handed over to Master Quan for baking and glazing.
The lower extended cup design becomes a real canvas for the art of Bai Mu Quan’s master of glassmaking skills. The crescent shape is especially appealing when you consider the mesmerizing patterns that form on the inside of the cup. It is further illustrated by the dazzling Tianmu glazing technique (called Tenmoku in Japan) with a black glaze executed with vibrant, warm brown and black accents.
Each item is made one at a time, and the artist signs and dates it.
Handmade in Taiwan.
