Fujian is a province on the southeastern coast of China where the tradition of tea cultivation has continued for more than 1,600 years. It is one of the most important regions in the world, both in total tea production and in the production of high-quality artisan teas, as well as in the development of various tea production styles and methods. Fujian Province is home to 336 tea varieties. With the sea to the east, it enjoys a warm climate, abundant rainfall, and neither cold winters nor hot summers. Its terrain consists mainly of mountainous and hilly areas, while its soil is mostly yellow and red, with deep layers suitable for growing tea. These ideal natural conditions produce very high-quality teas of many varieties. In addition to dark and yellow tea, oolong, white, black, floral, and green teas are produced here. Although oolong tea is now produced in other parts of the world, it originated in Fujian. Like the tea itself, the tea ceremony for drinking oolong, also known as Gong Fu, also originates from Fujian and is ideal for oolong. A small teapot and small cups are used for multiple infusions. The teapot is filled with leaves, and the steeping time is short. Enjoying a cup of tea is a special experience that brings health and inner peace. Peace of mind is the first step toward achieving peace as a spiritual purpose, bringing together harmony and tranquility.
