The cold pouring method is a method of tea preparation where cold water is used instead of hot water from the beginning. In this way, the tea has a pleasant taste without bitterness because tannin and theine, which normally give the tea bitterness, are more difficult to release in cold water as opposed to hot water.
For those who want to enjoy tea without theine, the ideal way to prepare it is cold pouring. The taste of such tea is sweeter, milder, more pleasant, and a special advantage is that you do not need to pay attention to the soaking time.
The leaves can be left soaked in a bottle and refrigerated for several days. It is usually enough to keep the leaves in water for several hours, usually 3 to 6 hours at room temperature. Then you simply pour the tea from the bottle into the glass, and put the rest back in the refrigerator.
Cold tea prepared in this way is ideal for combinations with ice, cocktails, fruit… Simply choose your favorite leaves and let your imagination run wild!
Preparation: Cold pouring usually requires a slightly larger amount of leaves to get the desired flavor. Put the tea leaves in the bottle, pour the desired amount of water (up to the maximum mark on the bottle) and close with the upper silicone part. Refrigerate for at least 3-6 hours.
