Sò-Sò is an elegant Japanese teapot featuring a minimalist design, crafted from fine white porcelain in Seto, one of Japan’s most famous pottery centers. It was designed by the renowned Japanese designer Fujii Noriyuki for Ceramic Japan, a manufacturer celebrated for blending traditional ceramic craftsmanship with contemporary design. The teapot is characterized by its harmonious rounded form, side handle, and clean lines, giving it a distinctly modern yet timeless appearance.
The porcelain of the Sò-Sò series boasts a refined whiteness with a very subtle, characteristic bluish shimmer that lends it a unique depth and elegance. Inside the teapot, there is an integrated porcelain strainer, allowing the tea leaves to expand freely during brewing without the need for an additional insert. The capacity of approximately 360 ml makes it practical for preparing several small cups of tea.
Each piece is crafted with a high degree of artisanal handiwork, which means minor variations and irregularities may occur as a natural characteristic of handcrafted production. The high-quality porcelain is delicate in appearance yet durable enough for everyday use. The teapot is dishwasher safe.
Sò-Sò is the perfect teapot for those who appreciate functionality, premium craftsmanship, and understated Japanese aesthetics in their teaware.
