Some teas conquer with strength, and some with silence. Jasmine Bai Mudan belongs to those who speak softly but make a strong impression. Originated in Fuding, the cradle of white tea, this tea combines the tenderness of refined Bai Mudan and the intoxicating beauty of jasmine blossoms, combined in one tiny, perfectly shaped ball. It is a story of patience, craftsmanship and pure beauty.

The leaves are fresh, soft and full of natural sweetness, and they are enriched with the scent of pure jasmine flowers picked by hand before dawn — at the moment when their scent is most intense. What makes this tea exceptional is not only the great white tea Baimudan (White Peony), but also the ancient, demanding flavoring technique known as the “5 Yin”: fresh jasmine and white tea are mixed five times in a row, until the leaves absorb every layer of floral aroma without losing their own elegance and complexity.

Bai Mudan is itself a tea with a rich, fuller aroma, created in the early 20th century as a way to use the apical leaves after harvesting the youngest buds for Baihaoyinzhen. That’s why its infusion carries a warm, golden hue and softness that pairs perfectly with jasmine — floral, but never overwhelming.

When the ball is opened, a golden liquid is released and a delicate, clean jasmine scent that does not take over, but accompanies. The taste is light, silky and balanced: floral, but with enough body to stay in the mouth even after a sip.

This is tea for moments of peace, for relaxation after a long day or for an elegant start to the evening. The combination of tenderness and strength that was valued for centuries in imperial China is just as enchanting today.

For jasmine lovers — a little gem.

For white tea lovers — even bigger.
