Origin: Chuxiong, Yunnan, China
Harvest time: spring 2021
This unique tea is a precious and extremely rare gem whose buds are harvested only once a year. Its unusual shape resembles the crimson beak of the beautiful red-billed blue magpie, endemic to the corvid in China, after which it was named. Just like the beak of this majestic bird, Ziquezui tea leaves have a beautiful purple-red hue, typical of the wild Ziya tree variety. These ancient tea tree leaves are rich in anthocyanins, natural pigments that give a unique purple hue and a light nutmeg flavor.
Due to the processing methods by which this tea is made, it belongs to the category of white teas. Delicate and soft aroma, perfect for aging. After the first boil, the buds open in the water, revealing their refreshing and tangy aroma releasing a sweet and long-lasting floral flavor that remains in the mouth.
Storage: the leaves can be stored in their original packaging or in ceramic vases. Avoid heat, light and moisture.
