This is without a doubt one of the best Chinese black teas from Yunnan with an abundance of beautiful golden peaks. Soft taste with an intense honey-sweet and woody aroma.
Although Yunnan is the birthplace of tea with thousands of years of history in pu-erh production, the first black tea from this region dates back less than 100 years. Black tea was not produced until 1939, when the first tea was successfully processed by Dian Hong in Fengqing County.
This Chinese black tea originated in Yunnan Province, which, along with Fujian, is China’s most prominent region for black tea. The delicate buds of this tea are harvested by hand from ancient tea trees and completely hand-processed using traditional methods resulting in a beautifully uniform tea with a golden appearance.
For those who find Lapsang Souchong too sweet, other black teas like Keemun too intense, this tea is ideal. This high-quality Yunnan Gold consists almost entirely of pure gold buds and is the highest quality you can get at an affordable price.
